RESOLUTION NO. 78-15723
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AWARDING THE CONCESSION
CONTRACT FOR THE CONCESSIONS AT THE NORMANDY
SHORES AND THE BAYSHORE GOLF COURSES TO
MARION RECREATION CORP. ; AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Concession Contract for Normandy Shores Golf •
Course between the City of Miami Beach and Ahern of Florida has
expired; and
WHEREAS, the Concession Contract for Bayshore Golf Course
between the City of Miami Beach and Jerry' s Caterers has expired; and
WHEREAS, competitive :bids for the concessions at both
Normandy Shores' and Bayshore Golf Courses were duly advertised for;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has duly recommended to the City
Council that the lump sum 'bid of $700, 000 made by Marion Recreation
' Corp. of Miami Beach, Florida, is the highest and best bid meeting
specifications and has, therefore, duly recommended the said contract
and agreement co Bring Normandy Shores ' from October 5, 1978 to
September 6, 1983 , and covering Bayshore from November 15, 1978 to
July 5, 1983, be awarded to Marion Recreation _Corp. ; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared setting '
forth the terms and conditions for the operation of said concession
at said Normandy Shores Golf Course and Bayshore Golf Course, and
the manner and mode of payment to the City under the provisions
thereof, and said agreement having been approved as to form by the
City Attorney,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said Marion Recreation Corp. ,
of Miami Beach, Florida, be and it is hereby found and determined to
be the highest and best bidder meeting specifications and that it
should be and it is hereby awarded the right and privilege of operating
and maintaining the concessions 'for said Golf Courses as set forth in
the specifications made a part of said proposed agreement, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute and deliver said agreement in the
name and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida. •
