A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING GRANT
FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES FOR THE RETARDATION •
PROGRAM AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT THEREFOR.
• WHEREAS, on June 28, 1978 , the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach adopted its Resolution No. 78-15654 , which
authorized the City Manager to apply to the Florida Division of
Retardation on behalf of the City of Miami Beach Recreation Depart-
ment for grant funds for Therapeutic Recreation Program for
Mentally Retarded, and
WHEREAS, the City has been advised that the State Health
and Rehabilitative Services has ' approved said grant in the amount
of $84, 000. 00 for said Retardation Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said grant offer from the
State of Florida as set forth more particularly in Resolution No. '
15654 , be and the same is hereby accepted; and that the Mayor and
City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
,:and deliver an appropriate contract and any instruments or documents
pertaining thereto for said Retardation Program.
