A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AWARDING THE CONCESSION CONTRACT FOR
THE DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE SYSTEMS IN THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Convention Center and its Advisory Board
determined that the installation of Directional Signage Systems for
the North and South Lobbies of the Miami Beach Convention Center
would be beneficial to the City and recommended said installation
to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved the concept of a
Directional Signage System for the Convention Center North and South
Lobbies; and
WHEREAS , competitive bids for the establishment of a direc-
tional signage system for the Convention Center were duly advertised
for; and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has duly recommended to the City
Commission that the award for the Directional Signage System be made
to Teleview Systems, Inc. , with Teleview to pay 10% of the gross
revenue to the City with the option to cancel within 150 days after
the execution of an Agreement therefor should the advertising potential
be inadequate to support the concept at the Convention Center; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Agreement has been prepared setting
forth the terms and conditions for the operation of said Directional
Signage System at the North and South Lobbies of the Miami Beach Con-
vention Center, and the manner and :mode of payment to the City under
the provisions thereof, and said Agreement having been approved as
to form by the City Attorney,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said Teleview Systems, Inc. ,
of Doraville, Georgia, be and it is hereby found and determined to be
the highest and best bidder meeting specifications and that it should
be and it is hereby awarded the right and privilege of operating and
maintaining the concession for said Directional Signage System at
the North and South Lobbies of the Miami Beach Convention Center as
set forth in the specifications made a part of said proposed Agreement,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute and deliver said Agreement in the name
of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
