• A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
• WITH WALLY GLUCK TO PROVIDE COUNSELING, REFERRAL
AND JOB PLACEMENT SERVICES FOR THE PHYSICALLY
HANDICAPPED IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
has determined that said City is in need of counseling, referral
and job placement services for the physically handicapped within
the framework of the existing Handicapped Assistance Program in
the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to employ a staff for the
Handicapped Assistance Program consisting of an Executive Director
and Secretary; and
WHEREAS, the Handicapped Assistance Program has been
allotted and budgeted $23,400 of the City' s General Fund for the
1978-79 City of Miami Beach fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City
Commission that the City enter into an agreement with Wally Gluck
as Executive Director of the Handicapped Assistance Program at a
biweekly salary of $553. 94 for the term of one (1) year beginning
October 1, 1978 until September 30, 1979 , providing that the afore-
described individual provide counseling, referral and job placement
services for the physically handicapped in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, for a minimum of forty (40) hours per week; and
WHEREAS , appropriate agreement has been prepared by the
City Attorney setting forth the terms and conditions of said em-
ployment with which the City Commission is familiar; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of the City and its residents
and citizens that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement with Wally Gluck, in the name of and on behalf of the City,
and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby authorized and
directed to disburse the monies required by the terms of said agree •

ment from the funds of the City available for such purpose.
