A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
PRODUCTIONS, INC.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with MADISON SQUARE GARDEN PRODUCTIONS , INC. , dated
July 11, 1978 , which provides for the use of the South Hall of
the Miami Beach Convention Center, for the event known as Bugs •
Bunny Meets The Superheroes, commencing November 23, 1978 through •
November 26 , 1978 , and
WHEREAS, said MADISON SQUARE GARDEN PRODUCTIONS , INC.
has requested an amendment to said agreement whereby they will use
the South Hall of the Miami Beach Convention Center for only one
performance on Sunday, November 26 , 1978 , from Noon to 6 :00 p.m.
instead of the two performances stipulated for that date in said
agreement, thereby reducing the rental of said date by One Thousand
and no/100 ($1, 000. 00) Dollars, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions ofthe existing
agreement shall remain the _same except a portion of the contract
shall .read as set forth in a proposed Amendment to Agreement, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said MADISON SQUARE GARDEN PRODUCTIONS , INC. , and approved
as to form and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney, is attached
hereto and made a part hereof, the provisions of which are familiar
to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the exist-
ing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to Agree-
ment in the name of and on behalf of the CITY.
