A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AND MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW FOR USE
OF MUNICIPAL OFF-STREET PARKING LOT 5E FROM
FEBRUARY 19 , 1979 THROUGH MARCH 2 , 1979 .
WHEREAS, the Miami International Boat Show has requested
permission to lease 223 parking spaces in Municipal Off-Street
Parking Lot 5E, located immediately west of the Miami Beach Con-
vention Center Complex, for a period of eleven days from February 19 ,
1979 through March 2 , 1979 , at a rental rate of $4 . 00 per day for
each space, for the purpose of additional boat display area; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the City that such Agreement be entered into by and
between the City and Miami International Boat Show; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an appropriate
lease agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, the terms of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver said lease for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 7th day of
February , 1979 , by and between the MIAMI INTERNATIONAL
BOAT SHOW, party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as
"Lessee" , and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, party of the second part,
hereinafter referred to as the "Lessor" ,
WITNESSETH : ti

• 1. The Lessor does hereby let, lease and demise to the
Lessee for a period of Eleven (11) days from February 19 , 1979
through March 2 , 1979, two hundred twenty three (223) parking

spaces in Municipal Off-Street Parking Lot 5E, located immediately , i.

west of the Miami Beach Convention Center Complex, at a rental
rate of $4 . 00 per day for each space, for a total of Nine Thousand
Eight Hundred Twelve Dollars ($9 , 812. 00) , payable in lawful, money (�
of the United States of America, at the time of execution and
delivery of this lease agreement.
2. The Lessee shall be allowed to erect a fence around
all areas hereby leased for the purposes of additional boat displays.
•
The Lessee will be responsible for removal of the fence and for any
repairs to the parking lot surface to the satisfaction of the Lessor.
3. The Lessee shall be responsible for damages to parking •
meters and car stops which results from his use during this time
period.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Lessor has caused this Agreement to
be signed by its Mayor and attested by its City Clerk, and the Lessee
