A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY, dated October 24 ,
1973 , which provides for the use of the North and South Halls,
the North and South Hall Meeting Rooms, and the Theater of the
Performing Arts of the Miami Beach Convention Center, for the
event known as Convention; said agreement amended by Resolution
No. 78-15618, and
WHEREAS, said AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY has requested
an additional amendment to said agreement changing March 11, 1979 ,
from a move in day to a meeting day in the South Hall; payment
therefor to be at an additional cost of One Thousand Five Hundred
and no/100 ($1,500. 00) Dollars based on one more meeting day, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment, signed by the said
AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY and approved as to form and legal
sufficiency by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, the provisions of which are familiar to the City
Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is
hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
authorized and directed to execute said amendment in the name of
and on behalf of said CITY.
