A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with TEMPLE BETH SHALOM, dated March 29 , 1978 , which
provides for the use of the Theater of the Performing Arts of
the Miami Beach Convention Center, for the event known as one
concert and one rehearsal, commencing January 13, 1979 , through
January 14, 1979; said agreement amended by Resolution No. 78-15619 ,
and
WHEREAS, said TEMPLE BETH SHALOM has requested an ad •
-
ditional amendment to said agreement whereby they will release the
dates stipulated in the above-mentioned lease, to wit : January 13 ,
1979 for rehearsal, and January 14, 1979 for concert, and instead
will use said facility on March 25, 1979 , for a concert from 12 :00
noon to 6 :00 p.m. ; payment therefor to be One Thousand and no/100
($1 ,000. 00) Dollars instead of the One Thousand Five Hundred and
no/100 ($1,500. 00) Dollars stipulated in said agreement, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and .
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment, signed by the said
TEMPLE BETH SHOLOM and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof, .
the provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission; ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,- FLORIDA, that the amendment to the . •
existing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is
hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are '
authorized and directed to execute said amendment in the name of
and on behalf of said CITY.
