A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A FIVE PERCENT ACROSS
THE BOARD INCREASE IN SALARY TO ALL PHYSICIANS
EMPLOYED IN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FIRE RESCUE SER-
VICES, TO BECOME EFFECTIVE APRIL 5, 1979 .
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1906, providing for emergency
medical services to be provided by licensed physicians accompanying
Fire Rescue personnel, was adopted by the City Commission of the
City of Miami Beach, pursuant to a vote of the Electorate on November 2 ,
1971, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is desirous of providing a five percent across the board increase
in salary to said licensed physicians employed in Fire Rescue Ser-
vices, and to those members of the medical staff who will in the
future be employed in Fire Rescue Services, said compensation for
starting employees to be increased by an annual amount of Fifteen
Hundred Dollars ($1, 500 . 00) , as based on a five percent increase of
the annual compensation of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30, 000 . 00) ; and
said compensation to those members of the medical staff who have been
employed for one year or longer to be increased by an annual amount
of One Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,650 . 00) as based on a
five percent increase of the annual compensation of Thirty Three
Thousand Dollars ($33, 000. 00) ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of said City, its citizens ands`,
residents, to provide an increase as hereinabove set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said licensed physicians
who are employed in Fire Rescue Services, be and they are hereby
provided with a five percent increase in salary as hereinabove set
forth, to become effective April 5, 1979 .
