A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION BY MAYOR AND CITY
CTBERK OF MODIFICATIONS TO CERTAIN EXISTING AGREEMENTS
BETWEEN THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
CONSORTIUM, A/K/A, THE SOUTH FLORIDA CETA CONSORTIUM,
AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF
CERTAIN PROGRAMS UNDER THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT
AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution 78-15758 , entered
into several Agreements with the South Florida Employment and Training
Consortium for unemployment and under-employment projects pursuant tocFederal
and State legislation therefor, and
WHEREAS , said Resolution is in full force and effect, and
WHEREAS , said Consortium desires to modify two of these said Agreements ,
namely: (1) Title II , and (2) Title VI, Sustaining Public Service Employment, in
order to comply with U.S. Department of Labor allocations of funds , thereby
' transferring $831 ,480 and 77 positions from Title VI to Title II, and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended that the City agree to such
modifications , and
WHEREAS , the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal
sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver said agreements for and in the name of the
City of Miami Beach.
