A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH COMMENDING BEVERLYE WEINBERGER
FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
WHILE SERVING AS A MEMBER OF THE TOURIST DEVELOP-
MENT AUTHORITY AND ENDORSING "OPERATION-PRIDE
COURTESY PROGRAM. "
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
wishes to recognize BEVERLYE WEINBERGER for her vigorous and
sparkling ideas, which have contributed greatly in making the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, the resort capital of the world; and
WHEREAS, BEVERLYE WEINBERGER has lent her considerable
talents to the development of a courtesy program whose purpose
is to institute a constructive, positive program of courtesy for
involvement by the residents of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is an area whose
economic stability, health and growth is intimately connected
with the tourist industry; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is supportive of all
attempts to improve the quality and level of hospitality offered
to our visitors; and
WHEREAS, "Operation-Pride" is a step toward the positive.
implementation of such goals by providing an intensive program of;_
promoting tourism by upgrading the quality of courtesy within the
service industry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that BEVERLYE WEINBERGER be
commended for her efforts as hereinabove stated and that each member
of the City Commission wishes to express their warm appreciation
to BEVERLYE WEINBERGER for developing and presenting the "Operation- ,
Pride Courtesy. Program" to the City Commission. The Courtesy
Program is indicative of the concern for the public interest and
for the promotion of tourism which BEVERLYE WEINBERGER is continually ,
demonstrating.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that "Operation-Pride" be endorsed
as a constructive, positive program for the improvement of the
quality, courtesy and hospitality extended to visitors of Miami
Beach, Florida.
