Resolution 79-15921 RESOLUTION NO. 79-15921 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING FILING OF SAME FOR THE FIFTH YEAR UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PRO- GRAM AUTHORIZED BY THE HOUSING AND COMMU- NITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the City of Miami Beach Community Development Committee on January 30, 1979 in accord with federal requirements to obtain views and proposals of citizens at the intial stage of application developments, and WHEREAS, the Miami Beach City Commission on May 16, 1979 held and conducted a public hearing to obtain views of citizens relative to the contents of the proposed application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by the City of Miami Beach for the Fifth year application under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and WHEREAS, the Fifth year application includes the 1979-80 Ann- ual Plan and budget, a Community Development and Housing Three Year ,Plan, and the Housing Assistance Plan, and WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the May 16 hearing, said applica- tion was authorized to be filed in the amount of $2,303,000, which is the FY 1979-80 entitlement; for the purposes as set forth therein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said City Commission hereby approves the filing of the Fifth year application with the United State Depart- ment of Housing and Urban Development for Community Development Block Grant funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended and further authorizes the City Manager of said City to execute and file said application in a timely manner to comply with applicable regulations for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in the amount of $2,303,000, for said Fifth Year program. PASSED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of May, 1979.
