A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT
WITH ZURWELLE-WHITTAKER, INC. , FOR THE PURPOSE OF
SURVEYING . SERVICES FOR "WASHINGTON AVENUE
REVITALIZATION FROM 5TH TO 17TH STREETS , HN-400" .
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Zurwelle-Whittaker,
Inc. , desire to enter into a contract for the purpose of providing
professional services in connection with general land and engineering
surveying, toward the improvement of Washington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, said Project has been allocated $150, 000.00 from
W. O. 2749, Community Development Fourth Year Block Grant Funds pro-
viding for the revitalization of Washington Avenue from 5th to 17th
Streets; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Agreement has been prepared and
has been approved as to legal form and sufficiency by the City
Attorney, which Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions of
said Project, with which the City Commission is familiar; and
WHEREAS, . the City Manager has recommended to the City
Commission that said Agreement be entered into; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the City and its residents and citizens that said
Agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,- FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute':said Agree-
ment with Zurwelle-Whittaker, Inc. , in the name and on behalf of the
City,and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby authorized
and directed to disburse the moneys required by the terms of said
Agreement from the Community Development Block Grant Funds hereto-
fore allocated for said purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 6th day of June , 1979.
