A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING RESOLUTION NO. 79-15899
ENTITLED "RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS FOR
BOTH SIDES OF ARTHUR GODFREY ROAD FROM ALTON
ROAD TO THE ATLANTIC OCEAN; INDIAN CREEK DRIVE
FROM SOUTH SIDE OF 39TH STREET TO THE NORTH
PROPERTY LINE OF CITY-OWNED MUNICIPAL PARKING
LOT AT APPROXIMATELY 46TH STREET AND DESIGNATING
SAID IMPROVEMENTS TO BE IMPROVEMENT:_:DISTRICT M-2
AND PROVIDING FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS TO BE AN
ASSESSABLE PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE WITH. SECTIONS
7 1/2, 29 AND 30 OF THE CITY CHARTER" AND ORDERING
NEW IMPROVEMENTS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission, by resolution passed
and adopted on the 2nd day of May, 1979, ordered the Improvement
M-2, District M-2, and the Director of Public Utilities has pre •
-
pared and filed with the City Clerk plans and specifications of
such improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof, including
an estimate of the cost of the incidental expenses of said improve-
ment, and an estimate of the amount to be assessed against each
front foot of abutting property; and
WHEREAS, due notice by publication as required by the
City Charter has been made that the City Commission would on the
6th day of June, at the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, at
2 :30 p.m. o'clock receive and hear objections of all persons
interested to the confirmation of said resolution ordering said
improvement, and objections having been presented and heard at . r-
the time and place aforesaid;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said resolution of said
City Commission ordering said Improvement M-2, District M-2 be
and the same is hereby confirmed, and the City Commission does •
hereby declare its intention to levy special assessments against
the lands comprising said District to cover the cost and expenses
of said Improvement, and for the purpose of advancing such costs
and expenses, $820, 590 . 00 is hereby appropriated from the proceeds
of the TWO AND ONE HALF MILLION DOLLAR ($2, 500, 000. 00) bond issue , •
to be sold for the Revitalization of Arthur Godfrey Road, said fund
to be reimbursed to the extent of the proceeds of said special as-
sessment, and the City Commission hereby declares its intention to
proceed with such improvement with contract.
