Resolution 79-15950 RESOLUTION NO. 79- 15950 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT BY MAYOR AND CITY CLERK BETWEEN THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF A SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM UNDER THE TERMS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution No. 78-15792 expressed its desire to continue its participation in the Federal Compre- hensive Employment and Training Act of 1973, as amended, on a consortium basis, and, WHEREAS, said Resolution is in full force and effect, and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to implement and operate a Summer Youth Employment Program, calling for an expenditure of Sixty- One Thousand, Thirteen Dollars ($61,013.00) to be paid from Federal funds received for that purpose, and WHEREAS, the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium has agreed to said program, as evidenced by written agreement, and WHEREAS, said agreement has been recommended by the Administration and approved by the City Attorney as to form and legal sufficiency, and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, its citizens and residents, to enter into said agreement; >. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver said agreement for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach.
