A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING AND EXTENSION OF TIME
UNDER STATE HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES RETARDATION
PROGRAM GRANT.
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared to extend the contract between
the City and the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services,
Retardation Program Office, providing for funding of the City's retardation program, and
WHEREAS, the last agreement term was from October 1, 1978, through
June 30, 1979, and provided funding to the City in the amount of $84,000.00, the City
providing 122'2% matching funds, and
WHEREAS, an agreement will be extended for an additional three months
to service 35 clients with additional funding in the amount not to exceed $9,333.33 per month,
the City providing Certified Public Expenditures equaling 122% matching funds of the amount
granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the extension and additional funding offer is hereby
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
execute said agreement on behalf of the City.
