Resolution 79-15969 RESOLUTION NO. 79-15969 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PETITIONING GOVERNOR GRAHAM TO DIRECT THE STATE ENERGY OFFICE AND/OR OTHER APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS TO TAKE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION TO IMMEDIATELY INCREASE GASOLINE ALLO- CATIONS TO THE MIAMI BEACH SERVICE STATIONS. • WHEREAS, the President of the United States recently issued a pronouncement directing the Department of Energy to reallocate supplies from rural to urban areas; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is a unique community, in that it is a Tourist Facility; and • WHEREAS, this unique characteristic of the City of Miami Beach necessitates a greater allocation of gasoline than a community • of comparable size; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Governor Graham be petitioned to take immediate affirmative action in directing the appropriate government officials to increase gas allocations to Miami Beach service stations.
