A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN MR. AND MRS . JAY SAXON AND THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FOR THE TRANSFER OF TITLE AND
OWNERSHIP OF ONE BAY THOROUGHBRED HORSE, "HAZ RAZ, "
TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, WITHOUT COST TO THE
CITY, TO BE USED FOR PROPER POLICE PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Saxon have graciously offered
to donate one bay thoroughbred horse, "Haz Raz, " to the City of
Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, ownership of said horse is being transferred to
the City of Miami Beach, which proposes to use said horse for proper
police purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has expressed a need for
the use of said horse;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor on behalf of the
City of Miami Beach, gratefully accept the gift of said horse from
Mr. and Mrs . Jay Saxon, without cost to the City, with the under-
standing that the City proposes to use said horse for proper police
purposes;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver the said
Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
