A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH
ALEXANDER GRANT AND COMPANY FOR THE GENERAL CITY
AUDIT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1978/79 AND FISCAL YEAR 1979/80 ,
AT A FEE OF $35',000. 00. FOR FISCAL YEAR 1978/79 AND
$40, 000. 00 FOR FISCAL YEAR 1979/80.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to enter into an
appropriate agreement with Alexander Grant and Company for the
General City Audit for Fiscal Year 1978/79 and Fiscal Year 1979/80 ,
all as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 7673 , dated
September 5 , 1979 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has recommended that
the proposal as submitted by Alexander Grant and Company in a
communication dated July 9 , 1979 , addressed to the Mayor and
Members of the Council, be accepted, said proposal being attached
hereto and made a part thereof by reference; and
WHEREAS, Alexander Grant and Company has proposed a fee
' in the amount of $35,000. 00 for Fiscal Year 1978/79 and $40,000. 00
for fiscal year 1979/80 for the 'General City Audit; and

WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved the proposal
letter as to form, and the City Manager has recommended that the
City Commission accept said proposal letter and authorize entry
into same; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the provisions of said proposal letter; f.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
hereby approves the proposal and that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute same on behalf of
the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the dispersing officers of the City be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay out such sums of
money as the City is obligated to pay out under the terms of
said proposal from the funds of the City available for such purpose. •
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1979 .
