A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT WITH
COOPERS AND LYBRAND TO PERFORM THE AUDIT OF THE
METERED PARKING SYSTEM FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1978,
AT A FEE OF $10 ,700 . 00.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to enter into an
appropriate agreement with Coopers and Lybrand, Certified Public
Accountants, to perform the audit of the Metered Parking System
for the calendar year 1978 , all as set forth in Commission
Memorandum No. 7674 , dated September 5, 1979 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has recommended that
the proposal as submitted by Coopers and Lybrand in a communication
dated July 24 , 1979 , addressed to Mr. O'Brien, City Manager, be
accepted, said proposal being attached hereto and made a part
thereof by reference; and
WHEREAS, Coopers and Lybrand has proposed a fee in the
amount of Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($10, 700. 00) for the
audit of the Metered Parking System for the calendar year 1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved the proposal
letter as to form, and the City Manager has recommended that the
City Commission accept said proposal letter and authorize entry
into same; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the provisions of said proposal letter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission
hereby approves the proposal and that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute same on behalf of
the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the dispersing officers of the City
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to pay out such sums
of money as the City is obligated to pay out under the terms of
said proposal from the funds of the City available for such purpose.
