A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO
CONTRACT WITH STRESAU, SMITH & STRESAU FOR THE
PURPOSE OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES TO THE
GARDEN CENTER FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Stresau, Smith &
Stresau, desire to enter into an Amendment to the Contract for the
purposes of developing a master plan for the Garden Center Facility;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
passed and adopted Resolution No. 79-15915, authorizing execution
of a Contract with Stresau, Smith & Stresau, for developing a
. master plan for the Garden Center; and
WHEREAS, said project is being funded from Community
Development Block Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, as a condition to receiving said funds, the
Department of Housing and Urban Development requires that certain
language be incorporated into any contract using Community Develop-
ment Block Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, said language was not incorporated in the initial
contract with Stresau, Smith & Stresau;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,, FLORIDA,, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the:-Amend-
ment to Contract with Stresau, Smith & Stresau in the name of and on
behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September , 1979.
