A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AMENDING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND MARION RECREATION FOR THE NORMANDY
SHORES AND BAYSHORE GOLF COURSES CONCESSIONS TO PERMIT
THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A NIGHT-TIME DRIVING
RANGE AT BAYSHORE GOLF COURSE, SAID NIGHT-TIME DRIVING
RANGE TO BE CONSTRUCTED BY MARION RECREATION CORP. , AT
NO COST TO THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH; AND AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF THE AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND MARION RECREATION CORP.
FOR THE NORMANDY SHORES AND BAYSHORE GOLF COURSES
CONCESSIONS.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 78-15723, the City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach awarded the concession contract for the con-
cession at the Normandy Shores and Bayshore Golf Courses to Marion
Recreation Corp. ; and
WHEREAS, the Marion Recreation Corp. has proposed the
construction and operation of a night-time driving range at the
Bayshore Golf Course; and
• WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach City Commission has
determined that the construction and operation of said night-time
driving range at Bayshore Golf Course would be beneficial to the
citizens of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the construction of said night-time driving
range shall be at no cost to the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, title to the light so installed to create thea
night-time driving range shall revert to the City of Miami Beach
at the end of the concession contract between Marion Recreation
Corp. and the City of Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
That the concessions contract between Marion Recreation
Corp. and the City of Miami Beach for the Normandy Shore and Bayshore
Golf Courses concessions be and it hereby is amended to provide for
the construction and operation of a night-time driving range at the
Bayshore Golf Course; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
hereby are authorized to execute the agreement amending the contract _
between the City of Miami Beach and Marion Recreation Corp. for the
Normandy Shores and Bayshore Golf Courses concession providing for
the installation and operation of a night-time driving range at the
Bayshore Golf 'Course, in the name of and on behalf of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida.
