A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, MEMORIALIZING TO THE
DADE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD THE CONCERNS OF THE
CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH OVER THE
OVER CROWDED CONDITIONS OF THE FIENBERG ELEMENTARY
SCHOOL; EXPRESSING THEIR PREFERENCE FOR THE USE
OF FISHER COMMUNITY SCHOOL TO IMMEDIATELY ALLEVIATE
THE PROBLEM ON A TEMPORARY BASIS; AND PETITIONING
THE BOARD TO RELIEVE THE PROBLEM IN AN EXPEDITIOUS
MANNER.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Miami Beach have
expressed their grave concern over the crowded conditions of the
Fienberg Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, it is the preference of said citizens to
immediately alleviate the over crowded conditions by using the
facilities of the Fisher Community School;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Dade County School
Board take immediate action to relieve the over crowded conditions
of the Fienberg Elementary School,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a copy of this Resolution be
transmitted to each member of the Dade County School Board.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September, 1979 .
