A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND NATIONAL BAPTIST CONVENTION
OF THE U. S . A.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with NATIONAL BAPTIST CONVENTION OF THE U. S. A. , dated
October 18, 1976 , and
WHEREAS, said NATIONAL BAPTIST CONVENTION OF THE U. S. A.
has requested an amendment to said existing lease agreement to pro-
vide that they will use the date of September 5-10 , 1977 in the
South Hall as follows, releasing the date of September 11, 1977 and
changing September 6 , 1977 from meeting to move in day:
September 5-6 , 1977 Move In
September 7-10, 1977 Show
and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, except terms and consideration
for use of the facility shall be changed to:
Six Thousand Dollars ($6, 000 . 00) minimum guarantee
based on One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1, 500 . 00)
per meeting day,
and
WHEREAS, a letter signed by the Director of the Miami
Beach Convention Center dated July 18, 1977 amending the existing
agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and NATIONAL BAPTIST
CONVENTION OF THE U. S. A. has been mailed to and accepted by said
NATIONAL BAPTIST CONVENTION OF THE U. S. A. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said amendment as set
forth in said letter dated July 18, 1977 , signed by the Director of
the Miami Beach Convention Center, to the existing agreement between
the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and NATIONAL BAPTIST CONVENTION OF THE U. S . A.
be and the same is hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on
behalf of said CITY.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of August , 1977 .
