A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT
WITH DR. JAMES NICHOLAS AS CONSULTANT TO BUDGET
ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR PURPOSE OF INCREASING
FEE
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach presently has agreements with the Florida
Atlantic University/Florida International University Joint Center for Environmental
and Urban Problems and Dr. James C. Nicholas for consulting services to the Budget
Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS, the Budget Advisory Committee and Dr. Nicholas have requested that
the existing agreements with the University and Dr. Nicholas be extended through
September 30, 1977, in connection with their services to said Committee, and
WHEREAS, the continuation of such services require amendments to the
respective agreements to provide for the increases in the fees for such services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that the agreement with Dr. James C. Nicholas, heretofore
authorized by the City Council by Resolution No. 77-15278, adopted March 2, 1977,
be and the same is hereby amended to provide for an additional fee of $2,000
to said Dr. Nicholas, and that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement in the name of and on
behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and the disbursing officers of the City are
hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies required by the terms of
said agreement from funds of the City available for such purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1977.
