A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AGREE-
MENT WITH FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY/FLORIDA
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY JOINT CENTER FOR EN-
VIRONMENTAL AND URBAN PROBLEMS FOR PURPOSE
OF INCREASING FEE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach presently has agreements with the Florida
Atlantic University/Florida International University Joint Center for Environ-
mental and Urban Problems and Dr. James C. Nicholas for consulting services to
the Budget Advisory Committee, and
WHEREAS the Budget Advisory Commmittee and Dr. Nicholas have requested
that the existing agreements with the University and Dr. Nicholas be extended
through September 30, 1977, in connection with their services to said
Committee, and
HWEREAS, the continuation of such services require amendments to the re-
spective agreements to provide for the increases in the fees for such services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that the agreement with Florida Atlantic University/Florida
International University Joint Center for Environmental and Urban Problems,
heretofore authorized by Resolution No. 77-15279, adopted March 2, 1977,
be and the same is hereby amended to provide for an additional fee of $8,000
to said University for such services under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas,
and the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami
Beach, and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby authorized and
directed to disburse the monies required by the terms of said agreement from
the funds of the City available for such purpose.
