Canvassing returns of Election held August 30, 1977, to elect a
regular member from Group 1 of the City Employees to serve as
Trustee of the Miami Beach Retirement System for General Employees
to represent the members in Group 1
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of
Miami Beach, Florida, the Certificate of the Clerk and Inspectors
who conducted the Primary Election held on August 23, 1977 ,
for the purpose of nominating two candidates to be placed on the
ballot at an Election held on August 30, 1977 , for the purpose
of electing a Trustee of the General Employees' Retirement System
from Group 1 ; and
WHEREAS, there has also been submitted the Certificate of
the Clerk and Inspectors who conducted said Election held on
August 30, 1977 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that it does hereby adopt the said
Certificate as the result of said Election held on August 30, 1977,
and does hereby declare John Phillips to be elected as
Trustee of the Miami Beach Retirement System for General Employees
to represent the members in Group 1 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of September, 1977.

COUNTY OF DADE:
We, the undersigned Clerk and Inspectors, do hereby certify
that we held and conducted an election of the members of Group 1
of the employees of the City of Miami Beach, at the Ocean Front
Auditorium '(lobby) , 1001 Ocean Drive , on August 30, 1977
for the purpose of electing a member of the Pension Board to
represent Group ; that at the close of the polls we proceeded to
open the ballot box and count the ballots, and found the result of
said Election as conducted by us to be as follows, which result we
then publicly proclaimed.
That there was a total of /(3 votes cast.
