A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR
RECEIPT OF GENERAL REVENUE FUNDS UNDER
CHAPTER 397.12 FLORIDA STATUTES
(BAUMGARTNER ACT)
WHEREAS, for the past four years the City of Miami Beach Operation
Re-Entry program has been providing day care services for clients through
reimbursement from the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabili-
tative Services; and
WHEREAS, The State of Florida purchases these services for a cost of
$2.00 per day per client under authorization from Chapter 397.12, Florida
Statutes (Baumgartner Act) , and has this year increased the funds allocated
from $4,400 per year to $5,400.00, and has requested the execution of the
attached agreement to receive this funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute the attached agreement with the State of Florida Health and
Rehabilitative Services to receive funding for the City of Miami Beach
Operation Re-entry program under the State of Florida Baumgartner Act.
