A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ENDORSING THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE'S REQUEST OF
METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY THAT THEY ALLOCATE
$619 ,000 FROM THEIR FOURTH YEAR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE
ACQUISITION OF REMAINING PROPERTIES FOR
COMPLETION OF NORTH SHORE OCEANFRONT PARK.
WHEREAS , there is a county-wide community development
process; and
WHEREAS, there is a one point two million dollar
obligation on the North Shore Oceanfront Park; and,
WHEREAS, timely request could result in county funding
of $619 ,000 needed for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the request of the community development committee
asking Metropolitan Dade County to allocate $619 ,000 from their
fourth year Community Development block Grant Funds for the
acquisition of remaining properties for completion of North Shore
Oceanfront Park be endorsed.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1977.
