A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND GREATER MIAMI PHILHARMONIC
SOCIETY, INC.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with GREATER MIAMI PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, INC. , dated
June 22 , 1977, and
WHEREAS, said GREATER MIAMI PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, INC.
has requested an amendment to said existing lease agreement to
provide for a change in their name to FLORIDA PHILHARMONIC, INC. ,
and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, a letter, signed by the Director of the Miami
Beach Convention Center, dated September 26, 1977 , amending the
existing agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and GREATER
MIAMI PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, INC. has been mailed to and accepted
by said GREATER MIAMI PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, INC. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said amendment as set
forth in said letter dated September 26, 1977, signed by the
Director of the Miami Beach Convention Center, to the existing
agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and GREATER MIAMI
PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY, INC. be and the same is hereby accepted
and approved in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of October , 1977 .
