A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF EXCLUSIVE
WRESTLING CONTRACT WITH CHRIS DUNDEE ENTERPRISES ,
INC. , FOR TWO YEARS COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1977 ,
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1979 ; PROVIDING SAID
CHRIS DUNDEE ENTERPRISES , INC. , THE RIGHT TO
EXTEND SAME FOR AN ADDITIONAL TWO YEARS ; AND
PROVIDING FOR A MINIMUM OF THIRTY SHOWS PER YEAR.
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of
the City of Miami Beach to grant to Chris Dundee Enterprises, Inc. ,
the exclusive right to present professional wrestling exhibitions ,
shows and contests at the Miami Beach Convention Hall South,
Convention Hall North, or Room 100 in Convention Hall North, except
as otherwise provided in a proposed agreement between the City of
Miami Beach and Chris Dundee Enterprises, Inc. , said agreement
further provides, among other things, that Chris Dundee Enter-
prises, Inc. , shall have the right to extend the term of said
agreement for an additional two (2) years commencing October 1,
1979; and that a minimum of thirty (30) wrestling shows per year
shall be presented; and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement between the City of
Miami Beach and Chris Dundee Enterprises, Inc. , has been prepared,
and has been approved as to form by the City Attorney; and the
City Manager has recommended that the City Council enter into
the same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar with the provisions of said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
