A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 11603 ,
CREATING AND ESTABLISHING THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE, SO AS TO
INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP THEREOF FROM ONE
APPOINTMENT PER COMMISSIONER TO TWO APPOINT-
MENTS PER COMMISSIONER.
WHEREAS, on September 1, 1965 the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach passed and adopted its Resolution No. 11603
creating and establishing the City Beautification Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Commission
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that there is a need to
increase the membership of the said City Beautification
Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Section 2 of Resolution No.
11603 setting forth the membership and term of office of said
Committee, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows :
"The Committee shall be composed of fourteen (14)
members. The Mayor and each Commissioner shall
appoint two (2) members each. Their term of
office shall be for two (2) years. Any vacancy
occuring on the committee shall be filled in the
same manner as was his/her predecessor. Each
member shall be a duly qualified and registered
voter of the City of Miami Beach. "
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that all references to City Council
in said Resolution No . 11603 , is hereby amended to mean the City
Commission.
