A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-15083 SO
AS TO INCREASE THE SCOPE, AMBIT, AUTHORITY AND
JURISDICTION OF THE AD HOC COMMITTEE INVESTIGAT-
ING THE FEASIBILITY OF ACQUIRING THE FLORIDA
POWER AND LIGHT COMPANY FACILITIES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 76-15083, reading as follows :
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that an Ad Hoc
Committee be and the same is hereby created
for the purpose of investigating the possi-
bility and feasibility of acquiring Florida
Power and Light Company facilities in Miami
Beach for operation by the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said
committee shall consist of the following:
City Manager
City Attorney
Two Members of the City Council
Three At-Large Members of the Community
knowledgeable in the matters to be
reviewed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
said Committee shall make a thorough investi-
gation of this matter and report to the Council
with recommendations as to a course of action
to be followed, on or before January 1, 1980. "

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that an Ad Hoc Committee be and the same is hereby
created for the following purposes :
1. Investigating the possibility and feasibility
of acquiring Florida Power and Light Company
facilities in Miami Beach for operation by
the City.
2 . To study ways and means of saving energy and
ways that waste of energy can be eliminated
in and on public properties.
3. To study and demonstrate the viability of the
use of solar energy as a possible solution to
the energy situation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said committee shall consist of the
following:
City Manager
City Attorney
Two Members of the City Commission
Five At-Large Members of the Community
knowledgeable in the matters to be reviewed;
to be appointed by the Mayor.
