A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
MENT WITH FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY TO
PROVIDE PUBLIC SECTOR TRAINING TO BE FUNDED
BY CETA
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is, or in the near
future will be, party to a contract with the South Florida Employ-
ment and Training Consortium providing for the performance of cer-
tain services to be known as Title II D Public Service Employment, and
WHEREAS, the proposal of the City to the Consortium con-
templated that certain services would be performed by Florida
International University, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared
which provides for payment to Florida International University
to the extent the City receives funds from the Consortium in
account of said project,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City
enter into said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved same as to form
and legal sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute said agreement, a copy of which
is attached hereto, for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
