A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A PROCLAMATION EXPRESSING
ITS APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE, AND THAT OF THE COMMUNITY,
FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF COMMISSIONER PHILIP SAHL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that the following measure be recorded in the Official
Minutes of this body, and be promulgated throughout the City of Miami
Beach:
PROCLAMATION
BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS vested by the Legislature of the
State of Florida, in the Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
and in the individual members thereof, be it hereby proclaimed that
WHEREAS: The Honorable Philip Sahl has been a member of the Commis-
sion of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, continuously from
November, 1973 , to 1979 , and
WHEREAS : His tenure in office has been characterized by sincerity of
purpose, dedication, devotion, and forceful leadership, and
WHEREAS: He served in the office of Vice-Mayor of the City of Miami
Beach from May 27 , 1977 , to August 13 , 1977 , and demonstrated
qualities of political courage and progressive, legislative
talent, and
WHEREAS: The civic interest and resolute, vigorous efforts on behalf
of the City and its citizens was relentless even to the
detriment of his health, and
WHEREAS : His total effort and enthusiasm for the good and welfare of
his people has earned him the warm approbation of all
members of the community,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission for itself, and
on behalf of the residents and citizens of the City of Miami Beach,
expresses its deep and abiding appreciation to Commissioner Philip
Sahl for his diligent and untiring efforts on behalf of the City of
Miami Beach,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this Resolution be spread upon the
official records of the City of Miami Beach, Florida; that a copy
of this Resolution be delivered to the Honorable Philip Sahl.
