A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT
WITH OPPORTUNITIES INDUSTRIALIZATION CENTERS,
INC. FOR HOME HEALTH-RELATED SOCIAL SERVICES
DELIVERY AND THE PROVISION OF JOB OPPORTUNITIES
FOR ELDERLY RESIDENTS AND AUTHORIZING ITS
EXECUTION BY THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No.78-15800 passed and adopted on
the 20th day of December 1978, the City Commission of the City of
Miami Beach authorized the use of Community Development funds for
the provision of nome health-related social services and job
opportunities for the elderly, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City
Commission that the City amend its agreement with OIC, Inc. to
extend the term through December 21, 1979 and increase the contract
amount by $8,000, and
WkWEREAS, funds are available from the Year IV Community
Development budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of the City and its residents
and citizens that said agreement be amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute an amend-
atory agreement with OIC, Inc. in the name of and on behalf of the City,
and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby authorized and
directed to disburse the monies required by the terms of said
amended agreement from the funds of the City available for such
purpose.
