A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH EXPRESSING THE CITY
COMMISSION' S SUPPORT OF THE FLORIDA CLOSE-UP
PROGRAM AND PROJECT.
WHEREAS , the Florida Close-Up Program will provide an
opportunity for public and private high school students to
experience and observe their government in action on the local
and state level as an adjunct to the Federal Close-Up Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
finds it in the best interests of said City and all local government
for high school students in our community to be informed of the local
government process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission go on
record as supporting the Florida Close-Up Program as a worthwhile
educational project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Administration is hereby
authorized to provide such cooperation with the Florida Close-Up
Program as the City Manager deems appropriate in order to further
this worthwhile cause.
