A RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON RECOMMENDATION
OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE
NO. 1891 SO AS TO CREATE A NEW ZONING DISTRICT DESIG-
NATED RM-24 MULTIPLE FAMILY MEDIUM LOW DENSITY ZONING
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS , in response to a request from the City Commission
to reconsider lowering the density on Parkview Island to 24 units
per acre, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at a Public
Hearing held on September 25 , 1979 , approved a proposed amendment to
the City' s Zoning Ordinance No. 1891, whereby Section 6 of said
Zoning Ordinance be amended by adding thereto a new section desig-
nated 6-20 , RM-24 Multiple Family Medium Low Density District; and
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said
Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for the
consideration of said proposed amendment to said Zoning Ordinance is
hereby called to be held before the City Commission in the Commission
Chambers, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach,
Florida, beginning at 2 : 30 p.m. , on the 19th day of December, 1979 ,
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish an
appropriate Public Notice of said Public Hearing to be published in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at
which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of November , 1979.
