A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUB-
GRANT AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE SOUTH FLORIDA
EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM, AND THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FOR PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT
PROGRAMS UNDER THE TERMS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE
EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973, AS AMENDED;
AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-16048, ADOPTED 10/17/79
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution Number
79-16048, authorized the execution of certain Subgrant Agreements with
the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium, and
WHEREAS, the Consortium has advised the City of the need to
transfer funds from one Program to the other, due to revised Federal
funding allocations, and has thus returned same unexecuted, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City
revise the Program Budgets accordingly, and
WHEREAS, such revisions do not affect the form and/or legal
sufficiency of said agreements, previously approved by the City
Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the City of Miami Beach, its citizens, and residents to
enter into said agreements, as revised;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the aforementioned Resolution, be and is
hereby rescinded, and, in its place, the execution of the revised
agreements, attached hereto, is authorized.
