A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE AGREEMENT
WITH OPERA GUILD OF GREATER MIAMI , INC. , d/b/a GREATER
MIAMI OPERA ASSOCIATION FOR THE USE OF THE THEATER OF
THE PERFORMING ARTS OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION
CENTER ON JANUARY 17-20 , 1980 , FEBRUARY 14-17 , 1980 ,
MARCH 13- 16 , 1980 , and APRIL 17-20 , 1980.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
OPERA GUILD OF GREATER MIAMI , INC. , d/b/a
GREATER MIAMI OPERA ASSOCIATION
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS OF THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
EIGHT (8) OPERAS AND REHEARSALS
on
REHEARSAL DATES - JAN. 17-18, 1980 , FEB. 14-15 , 1980 ,
MARCH 13-14, 1980 , and APRIL 17-18 , 1980
OPERA DATES - JAN. 19-20 , 1980 , FEB. 16-17 , 1980 ,
anti MARCH 15-16 , 1980 , and APRIL 19-20 , 1980
WHEREAS , an appropriate lease agreement has been prepared
*he Miami_ Bearh Convention Center Director and approved as to
form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised of and is
familiar with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement
and deems it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize
the execution of the said lease agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk he and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the above-described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and
that the Miami Beach Convention Center Director be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of January , 1980 .
