Resolution 80-16143 RESOLUTION NO. 80-16143 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTERS OF SOUTH FLORIDA FOR THE RENOVATION AND ALTERATION OF THE 920 ALTON ROAD BUILDING AS A MULTI-PURPOSE CENTER FOR LOW- INCOME ELDERLY WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Jewish Community Centers of South Florida have entered into an Agreement on April 25, 1979, for the purpose of partially funding with Community Development Block Grant funds, for the renovation and alteration of the 920 Alton Road building as a multi-purpose center for low-income elderly; and WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement are desirous of amending said Term of Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Agreement makes provisions for extending said Agreement as an amendment thereto; and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of the City, its residents and the citizens that said amendment be entered into; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the Agreement with the Jewish Community Centers of South Florida in the name of and on behalf of and directed to disperse the monies required by the terms of said Amendment to the Agreement from the Community Development Block Grant funds heretofore allocated for said purpose.
