A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH ACCEPTING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL ACT GRANT
FOR A MANAGEMENT/EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
FUNDED BY THE U.S. CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION WITH IN-KIND
MATCHING CITY FUNDS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI,
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ADVISORY SERVICE TO ADMINISTER THE
PROGRAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROPOSAL SUBMIrThD BY THE
UNIVERSITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach has applied for an Intergovernmental
Personnel Act Grant with the U.S. Civil Service Commission for the funding of a
Management/Executive Development Training Program and,
WHEREAS, the U.S. Civil Service Commission has approved said
application, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended acceptance of the Grant, and
WHEREAS, proposals for the administration of said grant were
solicited through published advertisements and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the acceptance of the
proposal of the University of Miami.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the City does hereby accept said Grant and
authorize the City Manager to execute such documents as are required in connection
with said Grant.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept the proposal of the University of Miami and enter into an agreement for
the provision of the services set forth in said agreement upon the terms set
forth therein.
