A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, READOPTING, RECONFIRMING
AND RE-ENDORSING RESOLUTION NO. 75-14697 , RESOLUTION
NO. 77-15307 AND RESOLUTION NO. 77-15511 APPROVING
AND ENDORSING PROPOSED EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT TO
FEDERAL CONSTITUTION AND URGING THE FLORIDA LEGIS-
LATURE TO ADOPT MEASURES FOR RATIFICATION OF SAID
AMENDMENT.
WHEREAS, on April 16 , 1975, the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach , Florida, adopted Resolution No. 75-14697 ,
entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ENDORSING
PROPOSED EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT TO FEDERAL CON-
STITUTION AND URGING THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO
ADOPT MEASURES FOR RATIFICATION OF SAID AMENDMENT. "
and
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1977 , the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida adopted Resolution No. 77-15307 , entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, READOPTING, RECON-
FIRMING AND RE-ENDORSING RESOLUTION NO.
75-14697 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ENDORSING
PROPOSED EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT TO FEDERAL
CONSTITUTION AND URGING THE FLORIDA LEGISLA-
TURE TO ADOPT MEASURES FOR RATIFICATION OF
SAID AMENDMENT. "
and
WHEREAS, on December 29, 1977 , the City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, adopted Resolution No. 77-15511,
entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, READOPTING, RECONFIRMING
AND RE-ENDORSING RESOLUTION NO. 75-14697 AND
RESOLUTION NO. 77-15307 APPROVING AND ENDORSING
PROPOSED EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT TO FEDERAL CON-
STITUTION AND URGING THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE TO
ADOPT MEASURES FOR RATIFICATION OF SAID AMEND-
MENT. "
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
desires to reiterate, reconfirm and re-enact said Resolution No.
75-14697 , Resolution No. 77-15307 and Resolution No. 77-15511,
a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated as a part
hereof;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 75-14697 ,
Resolution No. 77-15307 and Resolution No. 77-15511 , approving and
endorsing the Equal Rights Amendment to the Federal Constitution
be and the same are reiterated, reconfirmed and readopted;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it again hereby approves and endorses
the proposed Equal Rights Amendment to the Federal Constitution and
respectfully urges the Florida Legislature to adopt appropriate
measures for the ratification of said amendment to the Federal Con-
stitution;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a copy of this Resolution shall
forthwith be provided to members of the Dade County Delegation, the
Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, and each State
Senator.
