Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission:
The Sustainability Committee met on February 26, 2019 and passed the motions
below:
• Motion recognizing Destination Brands, the City's official sunscreen brand,
on their efforts to remove Oxybenzone and Octinoxate from their
products.
• Motion supporting Commissioner Michael Gongora's resolution on a city-
wide ban on the sale of sunscreen products that contain Oxybenzone and
Octinoxate in Miami Beach.
As an Advisory Committee, we sincerely ask that consideration be given to the
above motion.
