RESOLUTION NO . 80-16192
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE COMMU-
NITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION TO THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT
FOR THE ARTS FOR FUNDS FOR THE SOUTH BEACH PHOTOGRAPHIC
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, The City of Miami Beach administration desires to
submit a grant application on behalf of the Community Development
Division to the National Endowment for the Arts for funds for the
South Beach Photographic Project, and
WHEREAS, such funds will be used for the purpose of creat-
ing a bound volume of the work produced by said Project; and
WHEREAS, funding will commence on October 1, 1980 , and ex-
pires September 30 , 1981 and will be contingent upon a match of
Community Development Block Grant monies for the provision of ma-
terials, supplies and personnel for said project, and;
WHEREAS , revenues generated from sales of said volume will
revert to the City for future use by the Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized, directed and empowered, as the designated official
of the City of Miami Beach, to make application to the National En-
dowment for the Arts , for funds for the South Beach Photographic Pro-
ject, as hereinabove set forth, for and on behalf of the City of
Miami Beach Community Development Division, in connection with all
matters pertaining to this application and any grant contract that
may be executed and entered pursuant hereto.
