RESOLUTION NO. 80-16198
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
ZEV BUFMAN ENTERTAINMENT , INC. , GRANTING THE
RIGHT TO ZEV BUFMAN ENTERTAINMENT, INC. , TO
PRESENT THEATRICAL, DRAMATIC, AND MUSICAL
PERFORMANCES AT THE MIAMI BEACH THEATER OF
THE PERFORMING ARTS , IN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, desires to enter into an appropriate agreement
whereby the City of Miami Beach would give and grant the right
to a theater producer to present theatrical, dramatic, and musical
performances at the Miami Beach Theater of the Performing Arts , in
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has found and determinedthat it is in the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach and its citizens and residents
to enter into said agreement with ZEV BUFMAN ENTERTAINMENT, INC. ,
for a period of ten (10) years and four (4) months commencing
on the 10th day of February, 1981,and ending on the 30th day of
June , 1991 , and
WHEREAS , an agreement has been prepared and approved
as to form by the City Attorney, and the City Manager has recom-
mended that the City Commission enter into said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach is familiar with the provisions of said agreement, a copy
of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida.
