A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CERTAIN CONTRACT
MODIFICATIONS BY THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK BETWEEN THE
SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM A/K/A DADE/
MONROE COUNTIES MANPOWER CONSORTIUM, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF CERTAIN PROGRAMS UNDER THE
COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973, AS
AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, by its Resolution No. 78-15758,
passed and adopted the 1st day of November, 1978, entered into several
agreements with Metropolitan Dade County acting as the Dade/Monroe Counties
Manpower Consortium, providing funds to operate certain work programs, and
WHEREAS, included in these programs were two (2) Youth Employment
Programs, namely: the Park Attendant Trainee Program, in the amount
$42,371. 00; and the Youth Employment and Training Program, in the amount
$161,168.00, and
WHEREAS, the parties agreed to reduce the amounts of these agreements
to $31,643.00 and $139,917.00, respectively, and
WHEREAS, these revised agreements have been approved as to form and
legal sufficiency by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of
the City of Miami Beach, its citizens and residents, to authorize the execution
of said agreements;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute and deliver said agreements for and in the
name of the City of Miami Beach.
