RESOLUTION NO. 80-16212
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH AMERI FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION,
FORMERLY KNOWN AS FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS & LOAN
ASSOCIATION OF MIAMI , FOR USE OF PARKING SPACES IN
OFF-STREET PARKING AREA 24B (71ST STREET AND RUE
VENDOME) , FROM JANUARY 1, 1980 , TO DECEMBER 31, 1980 .
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
by its Resolution No. 79-15813 , passed and adopted the 17th day of
January, 1979, did authorize the execution of an Agreement with
First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Miami, now known as
Ameri First Federal Savings & Loan, for the use of parking spaces
in Off-Street Parking Lot 24B (71st Street and Rue Vendome) for a
periodof one year; and
WHEREAS, during the period said Agreement was in effect,
Ameri First Federal Savings & Loan has performed all services
specified in said Agreement in a totally satisfactory manner; and
WHEREAS , the extension of said Agreement provides that
the Bank shall have the use of five (5) off-street parking spaces
for the one-year period from January 1, 1980 , through December 31,
19 80 , upon the terms , conditions , and provisions set forth therein;
and
WHEREAS , the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interests of the City that such Agreement be entered into by and
between the City and said Bank; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an appropriate
Agreement of extension containing such terms , conditions, and
provisions with which the City Commission is familiar;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
said Agreement of extension for and on behalf of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida.
