RESOLUTION NO. 80-16242
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (FIU) TO PROVIDE PUBLIC SECTOR
TRAINING TO BE FUNDED BY CETA.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is party to a subgrant agreement with
the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium (SFETC) providing for the
performance of certain services, known as Title IID Public Service Employment,
and,
WHEREAS, the subgrant agreement with SFETC provides for certain
training services, and funds therefore, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared which provides
for payment to FIU to the extent that the City receives funds from the SFETC in
account of such services being provided, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City enter into
said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal
sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, for and on the
behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
