OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER CITY HALL HAROLD T.TOAL 1700 CONVENTION CENTER DRIVE CITY MANAGER TELEPHONE: 673-7010 COMMISSION MEMORANDUM NO. 13 1116C DATE: April 23, 1980 TO: Mayor Murray Meyerson and Me b of thei Commi ion '' . ` ` FROM: H: • T. Toa City Manager SUBJECT: AUTHORIZATION TO MODIFY CETA SUBGRANT AGREEMENTS WITH THE SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM (SFETC) BACKGROUND: During the course of the fiscal year, it becomes necessary, from time to time, to modify our agreements with the SFETC. These modifications usually reallocate funds within the budget, in order to more accurately reflect actual expendi- tures. Occasionally, these modifications incorporate a voluntary deobl igat ion of funds that we are unable to use. On such occasions, these modifications can be handled more expeditiously if the City Manager is authorized to approve and execute them on behalf of the City. Attached, for your information are copies of modifications to be submitted to SFETC, covering the last six months of the current fiscal year. Any modifications which would increase the amount of such contracts would continue to be submitted to the Commission for approval and authorization of execution by the Mayor. RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends adoption of the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the aforementioned modifications on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
